Welcome to Milepost 17.

A home in the canyon. A workshop full of possibilities. A road that really should have gone somewhere else.

Make this canyon your home, on your own or with up to four friends. Gather supplies, put up a first room, and turn a shared depot into the workshop behind your next very ambitious idea. Then authorize a freight contract and see whether the machinery you built can keep the road clear.

  1. Claim a plot and build a homeFifteen structural pieces, sixteen decorations, three finishes.
  2. Prepare the linePower, ammunition, turrets, cameras, a maintenance drone bay.
  3. Authorize the freightMajor attacks begin with a crew-authorized dispatch.
  4. Repair, research, repeatWrecks are repaired, not lost. Deliveries fund the next idea.

Your home is the point. The road is the problem.

Build something cozy. Wire up something excessive. Find out what survives the next delivery.

A furnished demonstration shelter in the current build

A place worth coming home to

Lay foundations, fit windows, put a roof over the workbench, and find a good spot for the reading lamp. Fifteen structural pieces and sixteen decorations in municipal mint, canyon cream and warm timber. Move it, copy it, revise it; removed pieces refund their materials between dispatches.

Bring your crew

Up to five contractors. One shared place to call home. Play solo offline, host a private world with a join code, join a trusted friend's listed world, or connect over the LAN.

A Loafer in the current canyon

Trouble arrives when you invite it

Major attacks begin when the crew authorizes freight. Ready the power and the ammunition, then find out which part of the plan the packs decide to test.

Current Industrial Riveter beside the freight route

Make the machine your own

Industrial Riveters, Pressure Projectors, Arc Lamps and Coil Lobbers. Earn research permits by completing deliveries, choose your next unlock, and fit rare firmware with tradeoffs. Agree on the plan before dispatch.

Afternoon light on the current depot

Take a breath between rounds

Start at sunrise and watch the canyon turn from daylight to stormlight. Photograph the locals and put them on the wall. A wrecked defense is repaired, not lost, and municipal drones tidy the aftermath.

IN THE CURRENT ALPHA · 0.1.30

The aftermath is
part of the plan.

Clear the line. Keep the loot.

A downed creature can block your turrets’ view. Reclaim it by hand, send it skyward with a single-use balloon, or build a drone bay to work through the pile during a delivery. Municipal drones finish the cleanup between rounds.

Or research an energy weapon that leaves no body behind. Less cleanup. A different tradeoff.

Gameplay · 0.1.28 · Staged recovery demonstration.
Gameplay · 0.1.28 · Staged forestry demonstration.

Start with an axe.
End with an unreasonable machine.

Fell trees, collect the logs and watch the stumps regrow faster in the rain. Craft from your backpack and the shared depot. Turn recovered meat into meals at a food station.

Switch between weapons and tools on your hotbar: a carbine, scattergun, healing beam, grenades, repair tool and more. Later research brings sticky goo and vaporizing energy.

Earn it. Choose it. Build it.

Successful deliveries award a research permit of their tier. Spend it on the upgrade your crew needs next, then prepare for a tougher contract. Configure your world’s difficulty and optional friendly fire before the next run.

Five positions.
One shared problem.

Take first contact at an Interceptor position, or catch the stragglers from an Anchor near the depot. Your position shapes the plan. It doesn’t lock your playstyle.

Interceptors
Meet the pack early. Cover an entrance, mark threats, and give the rest of the crew room to react.
Middle Crossfire
Build between the two approaches. Cover the junction and adapt when the crew changes the route.
Anchors
Protect the final approach. Catch leaks, keep the machinery running, and make the depot feel like home.

West Anchor is a shared yard. Four personal plots surround it. Choose on the in-game map, read live switch states, and reveal route holograms before committing to a defense.

Pick a position. Make it yours.

Choose what comes down the road.

The crew decides when to dispatch. Four freight contracts, each with its own idea of a reasonable afternoon.

Routine Delivery
Clear routes. Modest freight. Unreasonable wildlife.
Priority Freight
Two entrances and creatures with an interest in your wiring.
Night Shift
Reduced generation, rolling fog and breaker faults.
Questionable Shortcut
Authorized detours. Unauthorized moving violations.
Current Loafer with cream armor plates and broad muzzle
Loafer · Current build
  • The locals. Up close.

  • Loafer Road

A broad-muzzled quadruped with a cream back and no particular hurry. The reliable one.

  • Rubbernecker Armored

A tall mint neck, amber stalk eyes, and a habit of speeding up when it has company.

  • Shortcut Shortcut

Small, terracotta, mostly haunches. Takes the detour nobody authorized.

  • Cable Weasel Utility

Six legs, a forked cable tail, and a professional interest in your power equipment.

  • Auditor Drain

Plated forehead, sensor fin. Arrives with the fog on Night Shift and trips your breakers.

  • Moving Violation Oversize

Horned, armoured in cream and mint, and considerate enough to give a long warning before the slam.

Every delivery tells a story.

The current district, a furnished shelter, and a place to make your stand.

Room for a very ambitious idea.
A road worth keeping clear.
A little shelter from the chaos.

Before you clock in.

How do I get the alpha?

Request a spot above. This is an invitation-only development alpha, with limited places. There is no public download or announced release date yet.

Can I play alone or with friends?

Play offline solo or with up to four friends. Host with an internet join code, find a trusted friend’s listed world, or connect over LAN. A friend-hosted session closes when its host leaves. A dedicated server keeps the world available and pauses while empty by default.

What platforms and controls are supported?

Version 0.1.30 includes clients for Apple-silicon Macs, Windows x64 and Linux x86-64, with keyboard and mouse controls. Windows gameplay and Linux desktop graphics/audio verification are still pending. Final system requirements have not been established.

Can we run our own dedicated server?

Yes. Invited crews can request Linux x86-64 or Windows x64 dedicated server builds. All five slots are available to players, with persistent saves and automatic captain handoff. Join by direct IP over a trusted LAN or VPN. Dedicated servers do not yet offer Relay join codes, Steam discovery or passwords.

Will my home survive a bad delivery?

Damaged equipment remains repairable. Leaks reduce the shared reward. Prepare, repair and try again; major attacks require a deliberate dispatch.

Does the game collect gameplay data?

Gameplay telemetry is optional and requires consent. Alpha invitation details are used to manage invitations. Read our privacy and data policy for the details.
